Thank you for supporting the Celtic Heritage Trust (CHT). With your help we can make some headway in halting or even reversing some of the harmful affects that man has put upon the systems of our planet. This quest is vital because our planets rich bio-diversity tables provide the very mechanisms that keep our life forces naturally balanced and these in turn provide the substance for human life.

The impact of human activities on our planets natural system are not clearly understood, had we been aware of the long-term impact of the industrial age (greenhouse gases) we would certainly have managed its evolvement with more prudence!. .

As a more informed society we should not continue to ignore our environment and hope it will go away, because this is eventually what may happen! In fact we who live in the first world should take up the banner for those who live in less fortunate circumstances because our social systems are developed and highly sophisticated in comparison. Hence, we are placed in a key position to initiate grass root actions which may reduce the impact of man on the wider environments and thus begin to take a responsibility for our planets natural progress.

The Celtic Heritage Trust has been initialised by individuals like yourselves who are frustrated with the environmental carnage caused by poorly researched and unfettered economic systems. . . . we understand and appreciate the benefits of economic forces. . but we also recognise that their drivers can become aggressive and it is during these stages that these become detrimental to our natural environments.

Economic ideals are a human ‘value products’ and are usually entwined in political protocols this point is important to us and to you. . . This is because the CHT wish to remain focused on our mission and has no interest in engaging in any political or economic deliberation. We intend to focus on the important issues; these are the regeneration of cultural values that embrace the interconnectivity of man with his natural environment.

We believe that many of our natural links with nature have become dormant because we are evolving in isolation of the old traditions that served to develop our environmental knowledge. . . However, through the stimulation of our cultural ideals we can reconnect with nature, regain some control over our lands and restrict the economic carnage of our precious bio-diverse resources.

ONE SMALL STEP FOR MAN
