The Celtic Heritage Trust intentions are to engage fully with communites and therefore we take the time to appreciate and support all forms of communiation, inclusive of those that are often denied by the wider society. (However, we do recognise that there is a fine line between Art and Vandalism-). With this in mind we would be grateful if you would take the time to explore Urban Art pages . . a radical method of communiation exchange from the silent communites that prefere to remain on the fringes of society. Street Art is a direct communication link betweeen the Hidden Communities and the Wider Society. These works are often dismissed as Graffitti and are Criminalised - surely everyone has the right to commmmunicate thought and express emotion in the way that they are comfortable with. Art is a curious expressive form- it is organic and can not be BOXED or controlled . . this would only disrupt the artists message. So for your benefit and to broaden your understanding to issues that affect urban youth please take the time to explore our STREET ART SECTION. Picasso was himself an Urban Artist his work he expresssed the way that he saw the world around him - and was himself ridiculed! |

Art and Environmental Education is intrinsically linked - we express our emotions and understanding of life through many mechanisms these are all very important becsause they allow for knowledge exchange- to deny avenues of communication would be inherently wrong as this would not embrace inclusivity and would lead to 'resentment' and or counteractive actions.
